Police called in after car fire on York street

Crews were called to a car fire in York in the early hours today (Sunday).

They went to Hallifield Road at 2.38am. 

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York attended a car fire in a residential street.

“Two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire. The vehicle was left with the police to await recovery.”
