The pilot of a plane that crashed in a North Yorkshire park has died of his injuries, police said today (Friday).
He was airlifted to hospital after the light aircraft crash landed at The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park near Grewelthorpe, Masham, on Wednesday.
The pilot, who was the only person on the plane, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

Today, North Yorkshire Police said the 22-year-old man passed away in hospital last night. His family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Wilkinson said: “Despite the best efforts of emergency service responders at the scene, and hospital staff, the pilot has tragically passed away.
“We are now conducting a parallel investigation with the Air Accident Investigation Branch, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“I continue to appeal to anyone who may have information or footage of the aircraft, which departed from Sherburn in Elmet near Selby, to come forward.”
