Emergency services were called out early this morning to help someone in the river in Selby.
The alarm was raised at 3.26am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Selby, York, Malton and Ripon responded to reports of a casualty holding onto a boat in the water.
“The casualty was out on arrival of crews, and was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
