Nail jammed into car tyre for third time in targeted North Yorkshire attack

A car parked on a North Yorkshire street has had a nail jammed into its tyre for the third time.

Vandals targeted the Range Rover when it was parked on Castlegate in Pickering on Wednesday (19 November).

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said it was “the third incident of it’s kind against the same vehicle.

Castlegate, Pickering

“All three were repaired by a local garage over the past 11 months and deemed by the garage staff to all be deliberate criminal damage due to the location and depth of the nails.

“Please be aware of these incidents and vehicles being targeted.”

Officers asked if anyone saw a Range Rover being tampered with or someone acting suspiciously around one parked on Norman Close or Castlegate in Pickering to contact them.
