Part of the M62 near Selby was shut this morning after a multi-vehicle crash.
It was closed eastbound for several hours between Junction 34 (Selby) and Junction 35 (M18) due to the collision.
Emergency services went to the scene. National Highways first sent an alert about the closure at 5.23am.
Humberside Police said: “Please be aware that the eastbound carriageway of the M62 from J34 at Eggborough is closed whilst police deal with an ongoing incident. Please avoid the area. Thank you.”
The road reopened shortly before 9am.
