Police are hunting two masked cyclists who mugged a man in broad daylight.
It happened at about 1pm last Wednesday (19 June) in the Foss Islands area in York.
A man in his 40s suffered a minor injury to his face and handed over his wallet out of fear for his safety, officers said.
They have released descriptions of two suspects.
The first was riding a black Carrera bike with the ‘Carrera’ name written on the frame in royal blue.
A black mask covered the lower half of his face. He is:
- white
- about 5ft 10 tall
- in his late 20s or early 30s
- of average build
- with dark coloured eyes
- and mousey brown hair.
He was wearing a black tracksuit with a small unidentified logo, a navy blue baseball cap, Nike trainers and Nike gloves.
The second suspect was also on a black Carrera bike, this one with the lettering in orange. He was also in a black face mask, and is:
- white
- about 6ft 1ins tall
- and in his late 20s or early 30s.
He was wearing a dark grey beanie hat, and white tracksuit bottoms.
