Emergency services were called to an incident by the river early this morning.
Paramedics and fire crews were called to Bishopthorpe Marina at 12.17am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a male who had fallen and suffered a head injury on the edge of the River Ouse.
“The crew assisted with supporting the male until paramedics were able to lift him to a waiting ambulance.”
