Fire crews were called to help rescue a man following a fall in Malton yesterday (Wednesday).
It happened by the river off Railway Street at 5.35pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Malton responded to a male who had fallen down an embankment near the river.
“Crew power was used to assist the male back to safe location. The male was left in the care of paramedics on scene.”
