Man picked up 13-month-old toddler in York park and kissed her

Police are investigating after a man picked up a toddler in a York park and kissed her.

And they are hoping the two potential witnesses in the picture below may have information that can help them.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Tuesday 7 May at Museum Gardens.

The witnesses police want to trace

The 13-month-old child was with her mother in the woodland area of the gardens and the suspect picked her up and began kissing her.  

The two people pictured in these images are believed to have been present in Museum Gardens when the incident happened.

Police stress that they are not suspects, but witnesses who could provide vital information.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We do not have CCTV images of the suspect in this case and the witnesses’ information could be key to helping us identify the suspect.”
