A man had his leg broken in an attack.
Detectives are investigating the serious assault which left the victim needing extensive hospital treatment.
The incident happened on 20 February 2019 but was only recently brought to the attention of police.
An ambulance was called to assist the victim on Foss Island Road in York, near the former Carpet Right store.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who helped the 47-year-old victim, or witnessed what happened to him.
