A driver has been arrested after a police chase in North Yorkshire.
Officers received a report about a suspicious vehicle travelling north on the A1M at 6pm yesterday (Friday).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Our officers located the black Mercedes-Benz car as it travelled onto the A168 near Thirsk, and pursued it after the driver failed to stop.
“A short time later, police made tactical contact with the vehicle, and brought it to a halt.
“The driver, a 40-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and other serious offences linked to a different force area.
“He, and a woman in the car, were taken to hospital for treatment.”
