Police swooped on a York car park this afternoon (Tuesday).
At least two marked police vehicles and nine officers descended on Castle Car Park in the city centre at around 2.45pm.
They stopped a black vehicle close to Clifford’s Tower.
Officers frisked the occupants. They also searched through the belongings in the car.
They then made one arrest.





A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of drug-driving at the Castle Car Park, Tower Street, York, and possession of a Class B controlled drug at around 2.45pm today.
“He remains in custody for questioning.”
