National Highways is continuing to upgrade street lighting to energy-efficient LEDs at locations on the A64.
This will reduce energy use, carbon emissions and future maintenance needs. But it will mean some overnight closures.
This month they will be working at the Fulford, Hopgrove and Grimston Bar slip roads as well as on the Old Malton Roundabout.
Keep an eye out for signage of diversions at night.
Here are details for November: overnight closures (8pm–6am)
- 12 November: Full closure: North Lane – A64 Hopgrove Interchange westbound.
Diversion via A64 and local authority routes - 13 November: Full closure A64 Hopgrove Interchange to Grimston Bar westbound.
Diversion via A1036 Malton Road; A1036 Foss Islands Road; A1079 Hull Road - 14 November: Lane closures on Hopgrove Interchange ring road.
- 17 November: Grimston Bar eastbound exit and entry slip closures.
Diversion via A64 - 18 November: Grimston Bar westbound exit and entry slip closures.
Diversion via A64 - 19 November: Grimston Bar – overnight lane closures.
- 20 November: Grimston Bar – overnight lane closures.
- 22 November: Fulford eastbound exit and entry slip closures.
Diversions via A64 - 23 November: Fulford westbound exit and entry slip closures.

These diversion routes have been agreed with the local authorities and need to be suitable for all types of vehicles, including HGVs.
