The popular pop-up tipi bar, Thor’s, returns to York Museum Gardens from tonight.
Get into the seasonal spirit as this Christmas favourite is back at the Museum Gardens from 5pm tonight, Wednesday 22 October all the way until Sunday 4 January 2026.
Visitors to the giant tipi can expect the usual Nordic-inspired festive fare with cosy seating, roaring log fires, fire pits, live music, street food, and exciting drinks menu.
YUZU Street Food are back with their signature seasonal buffets – serving up delicious Christmas-inspired dishes and bao buns on snowboard platters.
Drinks will include winter warmers like mulled wine, special hot chocolate, cocktails, and a selection of wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks.
Thor’s at Museum Gardens will be open Mondays to Saturdays from 11am to 10:30pm and Sundays from 11am to 9pm. There will be live music every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm and Sunday from 4pm to 6pm.
The tipi will also be at The Milner Hotel Gardens from Saturday 8 November to Wednesday 24 December.
Events at The Milner location will include the return of the Valhaha comedy night and Thor’s pub quiz on selected dates.
