Laptops stolen by pair using student IDs at University of York

Police have issued images of a man and woman they want to trace as part of a theft investigation.

It happened at 5.30pm on Tuesday 30 September at the JB Morrell Library at the University of York.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Two suspects entered the university and removed several bags which contained ID cards belonging to the students.

“The ID cards were then used to steal laptops, with each one worth approximately £700.

“Please contact us if you recognise the man and woman pictured on CCTV, as we believe that they may have information that will assist our investigation.”
