Celebrations are planned when a new shop opens in York next week.
Savers, the health and beauty retailer, is now preparing and stocking its new store at Odsal House on Front Street, Acomb.
It will open at 9.30am on Thursday, 23 April.
In a social media post, Savers says: “Join the opening celebrations at your new Acomb Savers on the 23rd April at 9.30am!
“The store manager is excited to welcome both new and loyal customers to Savers and is delighted to give away 500 goody bags, worth over £15, to the first 500 customers to make any purchase.
“The goody bags are filled with some of Savers’ favourite products and brands.”
YorkMix revealed that Savers was planning to move into the home of the former Farmfoods store on Front Street in December.
Farmfoods caused dismay when it shut its freezer shop a year earlier. Savers has been trading from the shop next door for a number of years.
