A car crashed into a tree late last night (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to the collision at Kirkby Malzeard near Ripon at 11.34pm.
Firefighters from Ripon, Masham and Bedale went to the incident, which involved a Vauxhall Astra.
There were four people in the car. Three were trapped. Fire crews rescued them by removing a door and the roof of the Astra.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “All four casualties were taken to hospital via ambulance with suspected C-spine injuries.

“Crews used lighting, stabilisation equipment, small tools, hydraulic spreaders/cutters and sharps protection.
“The incident was then left in the hands of North Yorkshire Police.”
No other vehicle was involved.
