Anyone who has used a sofa bed knows they are tricky blighters.
And one got the better of a York resident last night.
Firefighters were called to help at a home in an undisclosed area of the city at 10.06pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One of the occupier’s hands had become trapped inside the mechanism of a sofa bed.
“Crew power was used to release. The occupier was left in the hands of family members, unhurt. Advice given.”
