Firefighters came to the aid of a squirrel in distress today (Saturday).
They responded to a request for help at Moat Way, Brayton at 11.05am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Selby crews were requested by an RSPCA inspector to a squirrel that had got stuck between the roof and some guttering.
“Crews used a triple extension ladder to reach the squirrel and left it with the family happy and unharmed.”
