A man who found himself trapped in a self storage unit was rescued by firefighters today (Sunday).
He had gone to the unit on Monks Cross Drive, Huntington, this morning.
But due to a combination of circumstances, he found himself stuck, and called the fire service at 11.08am.
A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “The man had accessed premises via an app but then through a combination of leaving his mobile phone in his car and being unable to contact any premises staff due to it being Easter Sunday, found himself unable to leave.”
A Huntington fire crew “used a ladder to enable male to escape”.
