A child became trapped while playing last night (Saturday).
Firefighters were called to help at the incident at Stirling Road at 6pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a child who’s leg had become trapped between metal railings on a climbing frame.
“Crews used e-spreaders to release the child’s leg and gave advice to a responsible person.”
