Firefighters rescue cat trapped on a ledge in York

Firefighters have come to the rescue of a stranded cat.

They were called to Joseph Terry Grove, York, at 9.52pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to reports of a cat which was trapped on a ledge.

“Crews used a 13.5m ladder to get to the fourth floor and reunite the cat with its owner.”
