North Yorkshire firefighters were called into action to keep a dog safe this afternoon (Monday).
They were called to a house on Alma Square, Scarborough at 1.55pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a dog on a second floor window ledge with concerns that it was in an unsafe position.

“On arrival of crews the dog had gone back into the property and crews used a triple extension ladder to close the window and prevent the dog being able to get back into an unsafe position.”
