Crews were called to a fire in a York children’s play area last night (Monday).
Firefighters from Acomb were called to the incident on Sowerby Road at 7.47pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire in a play area.
“Crews located a small fire consisting of wood and pallets. Crews extinguished the fire using a knapsack sprayer and a shovel.”
