A fire was started deliberately in a York park last night.
York crews were called to the as yet unidentified park at 8.04pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York crews extinguished a wheelie bin set alight deliberately in a park.
“Knapsack sprayers were used and the police were informed.”
This is the latest in a series of similar incidents of arson in York parks and open spaces.
