Fire crews were called to an arson attack in a village last night (Sunday).
York and Acomb crews were called to reports of a fire in a terraced row of garages in New Earswick at 5.33pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews extinguished a sofa on fire using one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera. The cause was deliberate.”
