Firefighters were called to an incident at a York park late last night (Friday).
A crew from York went to reports of a large fire in the open at Rowntree Park at 11.06pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival they found a small fire which had been lit by youths.
“The crew extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers.”
