Firefighters were called to help out after a DIY accident in York.
Two appliances from Acomb were sent to the home on Plantation Drive at 7.06pm last night.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews attended a gas leak in domestic property caused by DIY work rupturing a pipe.
“On arrival, crews confirmed the supply to the property had been isolated and gave advice to the homeowner to contact an engineer.”
