A driver was rescued from the wreckage by firefighters after a crash west of York today (Monday).
Crews from Acomb and West Yorkshire went to the collision on the B1224 York Road both ways at the Rudgate crossroads, near Bickerton, at 2.12pm.
Two vehicles were involved.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One of the vehicles was on its side with the occupant trapped inside.
“Crews stabilised the vehicle and used cutting equipment to remove the roof and release the occupant who was then taken to hospital via road ambulance.
“The incident was left in the hands of the police.”
Police shut the road while the emergency services were attending.
