Fire crews called to flooded property in York city centre

A flooded business in York city centre resulted in a call-out to the fire service last night (Friday).

It happened on North Street at 10.19pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A York crew responded to flooding from a commercial property affecting the premises below.

“The crew isolated the water to the building using small tools and left the incident in the hands of a responsible person.”
