Police were called to a fight at a football club yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
It happened at Boroughbridge Football Club at about 4pm and involved a group of young people and two men.
Officers went to the incident and arrested two men in their 40s on suspicion of affray.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “They have since been released on bail as our enquiries continue.
“We understand that incidents of this nature can cause concern within the community. To provide reassurance, officers will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the area over the coming days, offering a visible presence and support to local residents.”
They are asking for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact them.
