Emergency services go to three-vehicle crash on the A64

Emergency services were called to a three-vehicle crash on the A64 late last night (Monday).

It was between the A162 to Tadcaster and the A659 at about 11pm.

The westbound carriageway was closed for more than two hours while the incident was dealt with.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Acomb and Tadcaster attended following a request from police to assist with scene safety following a road traffic collision.

“Crews made vehicles safe using lighting and drizzit pads to soak up a petrol leak.

“The incident was left with police.”
