Three vehicles crashed on the A1M in North Yorkshire this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to the incident, between J48 Boroughbridge and J49 Dishforth, at 3.10pm.
Two lanes were blocked as crews worked at the scene, causing long tailbacks.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Ripon crews attended a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A1 southbound carriageway between Dishforth and Boroughbridge.
“Upon arrival all persons were out of the vehicles, and crews assessed them for injuries.
“Crews then moved vehicles onto the hard shoulder to await recovery, and left the incident with highways and police.”
