Both the police and the fire service were called to swimmers in the river at Selby today (Tuesday).
Firefighters went along at 2.35pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Selby responded to reports of six people swimming in the river.
“On arrival, the people were out of the water and advice was provided by police to the swimmers.”
