An electric bike caught fire in York city centre this morning.
Firefighters went to the incident on Rougier Street at 7.53am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to an electrical bike on fire within the street this was believed to have been caused by a battery failure.

“Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, area was cordoned off and the incident left with police.”
