A child was bitten by a dog on Ouse Bridge in York city centre – now police want to trace the animal’s owners and a key witness.
It happened at around 10.40am on Sunday 26 October when the girl was bitten by a white, medium-sized dog being walked by a couple.
A woman came to the aid of the mother and her daughter, and is believed to have been behind them when it happened.
The girl suffered a slight injury but did not require any medical treatment.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “One of the dog walkers was wearing a bright blue coat at the time.
“If you are the dog walker(s) or the person that came to the aid of the mum and child, please get in touch along with anyone else who can assist the investigation.”
