Firefighters tackled a fire at an industrial unit this morning.
They were called to the incident on Wiggington Road at 5.22am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Acomb and York responded to reports of a small fire within an industrial unit. The fire was out on arrival of crews who removed the burnt product into the open.
“They proceeded to inspect the site for further fire spread and gave advice to staff.”
Crews also tackled two other fires overnight.
At 5.49pm, Acomb firefighters used a bucket of water to put out a small fire in the open on Boroughbridge Road.
And at 1.24am York’s crew went to a bin on fire on Low Petergate.
“Crews used one hose reel to extinguish. No damage was done to the bin or surrounding areas,” the spokesperson said.
