Firefighters were called to a fire at a York home last night (Sunday).
They were called at 8.52pm to an undisclosed address in the city.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York and Acomb crews attended a domestic building following a report of smoke issuing inside.
“On arrival, crews entered the building in breathing apparatus and extinguished a fire on a oven hob using one hose reel jet.”
Everyone was out and no one was hurt. A ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building.
