Firefighters attended a fire at one of York’s most popular parks last night (Monday).
A crew from the York station were called out at 6.50pm to Rowntree Park to a “small fire in the open”.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire was out on arrival and crews inspected and used a firefighter boot to fully extinguish.”
