A crash on the A64 that caused severe delays this morning (Monday) has now been cleared.
It was on the eastbound carriageway between the A1237 York turnoff and the A659 Tadcaster junction.
One lane of two was closed.

National Highways Yorkshire posted on X at8.53am: “Delays of 60 minutes and approx. 4 miles of congestion on approach.”
The AA said there were “severe delays” on the road.
Now the road has reopened and traffic is running normally.
