Updated: Traffic moving after multi-vehicle crash on the A64 near York

There’s been a crash on the A64 in York this morning (Tuesday).

It’s near Bilbrough Top. The westbound carriageway was closed, although traffic is now moving again.

Earlier, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are currently dealing with a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway of the A64 just after Bilbrough Top.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the route or follow the diversions around the collision scene.”

Two vehicles appear to have hit the central reservation barrier, while a van is on its side on the verge.

The AA posted: “Long delays and partially blocked due to crash on the A64 Westbound from A1237 (Copmanthorpe roundabout) to A659 York Road. The road has been re-opened.”
