A crash caused major delays on the York Outer Ring Road this morning (Tuesday, 24 February).
The single vehicle collision saw a car leave the carriageway on the A64 near Middlethorpe. It ended up facing the wrong way, blocking the eastbound lane.
Emergency services went to the scene.

The road is now clear and running normally.
Drivers said traffic was at a standstill on the eastbound lane during the rush hour. Traffic was held up between the Fulford interchange to Bilbrough.
Meanwhile traffic lights were reported to be out at Crichton Avenue this morning too.
