One person was taken to hospital after a two-car collision at a main York junction this afternoon (Tuesday).
It was at the junction between Hull Road and Osbaldwick Link Road, near the branch of B&Q.
At least two cars were involved, a blue BMW and a white Audi.
Crash location



A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they were called to the crash at 2.30pm.
One ambulance and a rapid response team went to the scene. One casualty was taken to York Hospital
The A1079 was partially blocked in the outbound lane for three hours. Police were diverting drivers around the incident, to keep traffic moving.
By 4.50pm, the white Audi was being loaded onto a recovery lorry. Shortly after 5.15pm, the blue BMW had also been removed, and the junction was fully reopened.
