A couple who got married yesterday took part in the York 10K today!
Tom and Victoria, who are from York, even completed the course in wedding fancy dress.
They spoke to organiser Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All’s Instagram feed to reveal more.
Tom and Victoria said: “We met back in 2016 and from our very first date, it was clear we shared a passion for running.
“We have participated in the Run For All events since their inception and attend a few each year including 10Ks, half marathons and even a couple of the Yorkshire marathons between us.
“As we both live in York, the York 10k is a ‘not to be missed’ event each year – and this year is no exception!”
After getting married in front of friends and family yesterday, several of them joined the couple in the race today.
“The run goes straight past our house so our kids and other friends and family will be there to cheer us on, which will make it really special,” they added.
“Not expecting any PBs this year though!”
