Britain’s Got Talent star to headline fundraising comedy night in York

York comedy night is holding a special fundraising event for World Mental Health Day.

Funny Fridays at Patch at the Bonding Warehouse in York are raising money for Samaritans on Friday 10 October in an exciting night of comedy.

Organiser and host Katie Lingo said, “I’m a volunteer at the York branch and see first-hand the incredible work they do.

“As this year’s event falls on World Mental Health Day, I thought it would be wonderful to promote Samaritans as a cause.”

Headlining the night is comedian Alex Mitchell, who reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2024.

Joining him are local talents Pheebs Stephenson, Jacob Kohn, Jimmy Johnson, and Lorna Green.

All profits from ticket sales will go to Samaritans, and there will be bucket collections on the night.

There will also be a raffle with some great prizes from York businesses including City Cruises, The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring, and Hallowscream. Raffle tickets are £2 each.

Tickets for Funny Fridays are £10 and available via Eventbrite.

Get ready for a night of unserious comedy for a serious cause!
