A police incident closed a bridge in the Selby area this afternoon (Wednesday).
Police were dealing with the incident on Loftsome Bridge on the A63.
It was closed to all vehicles and pedestrians and police asked everyone to avoid the area.

After more than three hours, it reopened. North Yorkshire Police posted on social media: “Loftsome Bridge has now reopened and the incident has been brought to a safe conclusion.
“Thank you for bearing with us.”
