Brew York teams up with Asda to create ‘decadent indulgent’ beer

If you’re doing dry January, look away now.

Because Brew York has teamed up with Asda to create what they describe as a ‘decadent indulgent’ beer.

It’s a Salted Caramel Flavour Stout, and it’s been brewed as part of Asda’s Collab Collection.

Brew York describe the flavour as “rich, velvety caramel sweetness meets a delicate touch of salt. This stout is an undeniably moreish masterclass in luxurious harmony”.

For its Collab Collection Asda has teamed up with innovative breweries to create a range of unique craft beers for its customers.

The Salted Caramel Stout will be available on shelves in Asda stores nationwide from February retailing at £3.02 and included as part of its 4 for 3 multibuy offer.

The supermarket also works with local artist for the can design.

York-based artist Kai West has created the striking artwork for Salted Caramel Flavour Stout. His design draws inspiration from the city’s rich chocolate-making heritage.

The label reimagines the River Ouse as a flowing river of chocolate, weaving through York landmarks.

Kai said: “Being asked to work on this project was a complete surprise and a real honour – I’ve always wanted to design a beer can.

“Knowing it will be available nationally in Asda makes it even more special.”

Brew York sales and marketing director Yousef Doubooni said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Asda on this collaboration.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring our inventive, flavour-forward approach to a wider audience. We can’t wait for people to try it.”

Alex Noonan, buyer at Asda, added: “Building on the success of our 2025 collaboration launch, we’re rotating the range, exploring even more styles and celebrating the breadth of flavour that only true craft beer can deliver.

“This decadent salted caramel stout from Brew York is certain to be a hit with our customers.”

Brew York was founded in 2016 by friends Wayne Smith and Lee Grabham with a mission to create exceptional beer in the city.

Its venues include the Beer Hall on Walmgate, the Handley Tap in Osbaldwick and the Old Grey Mare in Clifton.
