Police have confirmed that a body found in the River Ouse last month was that of missing York man Seth Martin.
The body was found just after 3.15pm on Sunday 16 June in the river near to Landing Lane in York.
This afternoon, North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “Sadly, the body has now been formally identified as Seth Martin.
“His family have been informed.”
Seth, 31, who is from Spain, was last seen at his home address in the Clifton area at around 9am on Saturday 24 February.
It sparked an extensive search of the River Ouse, and a number of appeals for information.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
