Anti-social drivers cause misery with ‘doughnuts’ in village car park

Drivers are causing misery in a Ryedale village car park.

And police are warning that they will seize their cars if they continue to create trouble.

The car park is in Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We have received multiple reports of anti-social driving, including excessively revving engines and people doing ‘doughnuts’ in Thornton-le-Dale car park.

“Those caught driving in such an anti-social manner risk seizure of their vehicles under the Police Reform Act section 59.

“As we seek to increase patrols to the area, we encourage residents and passers-by to continue to report this unacceptable and inconsiderate anti-social behaviour.

“Not only is it dangerous, it has a notably negative impact on the quality of life for our local community.”
