Train passengers are still facing disruption after a wall collapsed into the river Nidd under Knaresborough Viaduct.
This caused all lines to be blocked between York and Harrogate this evening (Sunday) while safety checks were made.
Engineers from Network Rail have been investigating to see if the viaduct pillar was in any danger.
National Rail says: “All lines have now reopened between York and Harrogate.
“Trains running between these stations may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.”
Disruption is now expected until around until the end of the day.
Earlier Northern Rail said: “Services between York & Harrogate are currently being disrupted in both directions due to urgent repairs to the railway. Network Rail engineers are expected on site.”
This is the advice to travellers from National Rail.
Leeds to York via Micklefield in both directions are not affected. Customers can travel via Micklefield at no extra cost.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
